Electrical Maintenance Technician
The opportunity:
Primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.
2nd or 3rd shift
What You Need to Succeed:
- 2–3 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems, including diagnosing issues down to the component level.
- Strong operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, including:
- Motors (AC & DC)
- Servos
- Pumps (air and electric)
- Drives
- Relays
- 3‑phase power systems
- Communication devices
- Industrial/electronic control systems
- Power transmission systems
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems.
- PLC troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, supported by strong practical mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with basic 3‑phase motor control circuits, including installation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with sensors, limit switches, and common industrial electrical components.
- Understanding of bearings and power transmission equipment.
- Basic welding skills (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a mature, professional manner.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with military training or technical school certification preferred.
